21 III 2011 I'm now contributing to Reportage Italia, a collective project involving journalists, photographers and videomakers willing to record the history of our country, against all the odds that would paint a former cheerful, currently depressed Italy. A project that lives only on the web and adheres to the "slow journalism" criteria: a new way of doing journalism and telling stories that relies on the tradition of in-depth reportage but, at the same time, does experience new communication languages.

27 I 2011 Opening of Prima Visione, a collective exhibition hosted by Galleria Bel Vedere in partnership with GRIN, showcasing a selection of recent images taken by forty-six photographers who chose Milan as a field of reflection and discovery. 19 I 2011 Published on Vanity Fair (italian issue) with a commissioned portrait of italian singer and songwriter Cristina Donà, illustrating an article by Andrea Scarpa.


16 I 2011 I uploaded Fiatnam on my Vimeo page. This is my very first attempt of a short video reportage, filmed in Turin, in front of the gates of the Fiat Mirafiori plant and narrating a night spent with the blue collar workers waiting for the results of the referendum on the agreement which is supposed to boost the productiveness of the factory from one side, victimizing some workers' rights to the other.

23 XII 2010 Shooting on assignment for Wired in Modena.


8 XII 2010 I will take part to a sale of photographs in support of a charity, once again organized by GRIN, the group that brings together researchers and iconographic photo editors of the main italian magazines and photo agencies.
The money raised will help the Friends of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Cinisello Balsamo, an association born a few months ago to maintain this cultural heritage. The event is on Sunday, december 12th, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. @ Polifemo / Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan.

30 X 2010 One week left to the opening of the 12th edition of Foianofotografia. This year's topic is the dream as desire. A desire of growth, of rebirth, of a better future, of the chance of having a better future. The themes of dream and desire will be shown in their various meanings and nuances by the participant photographers; among them, I will exhibit for the first time Casta Diva, a recent and unpublished feature telling the stories of italian women of any age whose dream is to step into the showbiz system.

23 X 2010 After Santa Monica and Washington D.C., the Save L'Aquila Project is planning its third collective exhibition in Milan in 2011. It will also include part of my work 03:32 A.M. - 6.3 Richter on the Abruzzo earthquake. Further details will be posted soon.

6 X 2010 The collective project Italian Party, realized together with fellow photographers Simone Donati and Martino Lombezzi, was chosen by journalist and curator Sandro Iovine to run for SurrauPhotoWin, an international photo award to promote the developement and circulation of projects realized by authors who know how to tell and how to represent contemporary world through different photographic languages.

13 IX 2010 Together with other photographers from LUZ photo agency, I'll take part to the collective exhibition Grande Venezia, opening on September 30th at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the largest interdisciplinary exhibition area in the heart of Rome. The exhibition, on behalf of the Festival della Letteratura di Viaggio and in cooperation with the Italian Geographic Society, is featuring some sixty contemporary photographs regarding the area of influence of the Venice of the past: countries bordering the Mediterranean to Istanbul and beyond. 27-29 V 2010 The motion 03:32 A.M. - 6.3 Richter on the earthquake in Abruzzo will be screened at the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan during Audiovisiva, an international festival calling artists to investigate the creative and communicative potential of music, video art, sound design and electronic arts.


20 V 2010 Part of the work 03:32 A.M. - 6.3 Richter exhibited in the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C. commemorating the one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in L'Aquila.
This exhibit features hundreds of images donated by award winning agencies, reporters and photographers showcasing L'Aquila and its surroundings taken before, during, and after the April 6, 2009 earthquake.
